Research Emphasis

Experience with bacterial pathogenesis, microbial and bacteriophage genomics, and the study of mobile genetic elements in genomes and metagenomes. He is currently working on different aspects of the systems biology of microbial pathogens, especially pathogenic E. coli and S. aureus.


Biography

Ramy K. Aziz, an Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University, has joined the lab as  a visiting scientist in November 2011.

He has experience with bacterial pathogenesis, microbial and bacteriophage genomics, and the study of mobile genetic elements in genomes and metagenomes. He is currently working on different aspects of the systems biology of microbial pathogens, especially pathogenic E. coli and S. aureus.
